We walked to the beach to enjoy the amazing sunset and hiked Nago Castle Site Park. On the trail, watch out for the spiders that evidently don’t get bothered at Western-people forehead height, we had a few close calls! Obviously we needed refreshment after the hike, so we toured the “Happy Park” Orion brewery conveniently located at the base of the castle site park mountain. It felt like the Coors plant – tucked in the foothills next to a clean river. Thanks to Raili’s recommendations, we bussed to Gorilla Chop beach, although timing wasn’t quite right to get to snorkel there.
And we can’t forget the small luxuries – the amazing toilets in Japan. A myriad of buttons (no pun intended) to control the heated seats, music, sound effects and washing options! Even the parks and grocery stores have nice toilets and a stock of toilet paper. We appreciate this even more, coming from China.
